Art is up in the Delta Center halls! And right on time for Fall Conferences, too! One of the best things about being an art teacher is getting the chance to display student's hard earned work. I have been very fortunate to be allowed the opportunity to not just be able to display a select few, but the chance to have every grade, every class, and every talented student's work proudly hung in the halls.
And the difference it makes! Not only does it help the school feel just a little bit brighter but it has a clear effect on the students as well. If I were to say what is my favorite reason to hang up art, it would be to hear the excitement in students' voices as they point theirs out or recognize that of a friends; the pride (from them and you) as you overhear them explain to a parent, teacher, or friend not just what they did, but what they learned; and the feeling of success they have as they come in ready to tackle the next project.
Check out what was displayed in the halls and keep an eye out for what comes next!
