"Guys, she's here!"
"Shh! I just saw her!"
"Wait, look!"
"Ms. MD is back!"
There is nothing better than hearing the gasps of students who are excited for your return to the classroom, even if it is only temporary. Recently I was able to stop back in the art room and assist in a clay turtle project I led right before my student teaching was up in December. The turtles were fired and ready to be glazed in an assortment of color. I am not sure who was more excited to be back, me, the students, or my host, but regardless of who, it definitely marked the day as one of the best of 2016 so far!

Being back in the classroom was a wonderful reminder why I love doing what I do and why I cannot wait to get a classroom of my own in the near future. Though that may take some time I am pleased to stay busy continuing my current job as a site assistant for Camp Fire as well as a substitute teacher!
